210: Making Sense of MSD Prevention Technologies: Practical Strategies for Selecting Effective Solutions

With the evolution of workplace safety technologies, safety and health professionals are inundated with technologies to reduce ergonomic risks in their workplace. However, not all safety technologies are created equal – and some may work better for some industries, risks or organizations than others. In many cases, the challenge isn’t the lack of innovation, but the lack of clarity about which tools genuinely work, for which risks and under what conditions.

This workshop goes beyond demos and feature lists to examine the real-world performance of emerging MSD-prevention technologies—spanning AI-driven ergonomic assessment platforms, computer-vision–enabled tools, and sensor-based systems—while focusing on what truly matters: evidence, validation, and usability.
